Fizo also announced plans to build an additional reactor at the Bohunines nuclear power plant, which will be attended by American contractors and may be joined by other countries. He also mentioned that the United States is still purchasing Russian uranium resources.

Earlier, Fizo said in the question session of the National Assembly on September 25 local time that Slovakia imported only 2% of energy raw materials from Russia. Therefore, Slovakia did not make a substantial contribution to the war funds by purchasing Russian energy. He believes that Slovakia’s interest lies in maintaining the import of energy raw materials from Russia, because this is the most economical choice.

On May 6th, local time, the European Commission announced a "road map" for phasing out the import of Russian energy. According to the information from official website of the European Commission, all Russian natural gas imports will be stopped by the end of 2027, and the "road map" also restricts Russian oil and nuclear supply. In response, a spokesman for the Russian Kremlin has responded that Europe is "shooting itself in the foot".
